A Vow in Ashes

In Dijon, a stone owl is said to grant wishes to those who touch it with their left hand, while turning their back on a nearby salamander. Months after his sister’s suicide, a broken man comes to make a wish. Frustrated by the justice system’s failure to hold one of those responsible accountable, he takes matters into his own hands. Discovering that one of them has become a taxi driver, he gets into his cab and is driven to a remote landscape dominated by a smoking power plant.
